Details: Discover the ancient Chinese practice of tai chi this July at the Bill Memorial Library in Groton. Free classes will be conducted for 4 consecutive Monday evenings on July 10, 17, 24 and 31st from 5:30 p.m. – 6:15 p.m. A low impact exercise, Tai Chi helps circulation, balance and alignment and restores energy. The class is free and will be taught by certified instructor Tony Suarez. Class size will be limited to 15 people and registration is required. Call 860-445-0392 to secure a spot.

Details: Summertime is the best time for Story Time! The Bill Memorial Library in the City of Groton invites children and their families to Summertime Story Time on Tuesday mornings at 10:30 a.m. Registration is not required: the program begins July 11 and ends August 1. July 15:  ART ON GROTON BANK - ANNUAL OUTDOOR ART FESTIVAL
​Time: 10am-4pm on the grounds of Bill Memorial Library, FREE ADMISSION

Details: Annual Outdoor Art Festival of fine and artisan art. Now in its tenth year, Art on Groton Bank takes place on the grounds of the Bill Memorial Library, located on historic Groton Bank. This outdoor festival features artists and artisans who display and sell works of art, including paintings in oil, watercolor, and acrylic; prints; wooden sculptures; photography; and much more. This event also features live music, book signings by local authors, walking tours of Groton Bank, and food vendors. This year, to honor Connecticut’s Submarine Century, Art on Groton Bank will host a juried art exhibit of submarine related photography in addition to sales of the First and Finest: The 100-Year History of Naval Submarine Base New London.
